Travel Health

Do you need vaccinations?

Our Nurses can provide comprehensive travel health advice and arrange for appropriate immunisations. Please arrange an appointment for a travel consultation at least 6-8 weeks before departure if possible. Vaccines need time to take effect and some may require a course over several weeks.

For all travel appointments you need 30 minutes for each member of the family. It is important that you note that; if you do not have 30 minute appointment slots for each member of the family then the nurse cannot fit you in which would mean booking another appointment on another day.

The practice is designated as a Yellow Fever Immunisation Centre and we see our own and other Practice’s patients in our clinics. However, if you are not registered with us you will need to get a patient summary from your doctor detailing your current health issues and all of you past vaccinations in order for you to be seen in our clinics.

Travel Assessment

We offer a full travel advice and immunisation service. If you are travelling abroad please complete and submit the travel form in plenty of time (we recommend 6-8 weeks) before your journey.

If you have not completed the practice Travel Form prior to you appointment the nurse will not be able to wait for you to sit and do this as it will have a knock on affect to other patient appointment times; which would mean you may be asked to re-book your appointment for another day/time.
