Seasonal Flu and COVID Boosters – Provisional Information
We have reached that time of year again when we need to start thinking about seasonal influenza and covid vaccinations.
This winter, in conjunction with the seasonal flu vaccination, we also must provide a COVID booster programme. The seasonal flu vaccine will be offered to the same group of patients who require a COVID booster. It makes sense therefore that we deliver our flu vaccinations at the same time as the boosters.
Following a delay to the start of the seasonal vaccination programmes, NHS England have now brought this forward and our first clinics will be held 23rd/24th September. Eligible patients will be invited via telephone or text message WC 18th Sept.
The invite will book you into a Covid clinic at Hythe Hospital, however you will also have your flu vaccination at the same time.
Please use this as an opportunity to support your practice, the delivery of Flu and Covid vaccinations is extremely important to the ongoing delivery of healthcare you receive.
