Nurses
The Practice is fortunate in having three Primary care trained Nursing Sisters, three Primary care trained Nurses and two Advanced Nurse Practitioners to provide treatment and consultation services. Our Practice Nursing Sisters may be consulted on a range of general health issues and can advise on the practical aspects of dealing with many illnesses. Sister Joyce has undergone training in family planning. They are able to undertake general health screening including the taking of cervical smears. They are available to advise about health aspects of foreign travel and to carry out foreign travel immunisation. They assist the doctors with the care of long-term illnesses including heart disease, high blood pressure, asthma, diabetes and advice about special diets.
Appointments with one of the Nursing Sisters are available most mornings and most afternoons at both Surgeries.
